Doug Mummert, RMSW NATAS President, announced: “The Board of Governors of the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, is proud to bestow the 2019 Governors’ Award on Silver Bullet Productions. The talented and dedicated team at this New Mexico, 501(c)(3) non-profit, are dedicated to educational filmmaking programs for rural and tribal communities and students. Their efforts impact and improve communities, education, historical awareness and cultural preservation through workshops, filmmaking, collaboration, and production equipment donations. Education is one of the cornerstones of our Academy and we believe Silver Bullet Productions exemplifies this, by making a significant impact on the community and future of our industry. Congratulations to our 2019 Governors’ Award recipient, Silver Bullet Productions.”

Historically, the Board of Governors’ Award is for truly outstanding and unique accomplishments, or for achievements of some duration and durability. For this award, a Regional Emmy® statuette is presented.

The Award will be presented at the 2019 Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards on Saturday, September 14, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Silver Bullet Productions’ CEO Pamela Pierce will attend to accept Silver Bullet’s 2019 Governors’ Award.

“Silver Bullet Productions is honored to be selected as the recipient of the 2019 Governors’ Award by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of NATAS. This recognition for our use of film as a vehicle for change, that allows authentic voices to be heard, will further our mission to educate.”
